I used oil pastels for the first time in a while doing this sketch of a beach chair from a vacation photo. Really pleased how this came out. I’m looking to translate this and other photos from that trip to Panama City Beach into paintings. Happy Father’s Day! Details, “Gordon’s Roses”, diptych acrylic on canvas, 32”x20” “Gordon’s Roses” diptych, acrylic on canvas 32”x 20” It’s hard to believe there is a little over six months left in this year. More drawings of the cluttered spaces in my home. More pen and ink drawings from around the house. When I have a hiatus from making art, I always get back at it by drawing. Specially, by making contour drawings. This is a device that helps me “see” better to make compositions for paintings. Cozy still life ink and watercolor sketch for the new year 🥳 A latergram of making some finishing touches before wiring the back to make it show ready. See the finished piece @monthavenarts on November 29th!
